External halyard flagpoles feature a rope to hoist and lower your flag, a cleat to tie the rope off to and a revolving truck at the top of the flagpole.

Internal halyards feature a steel cable assembly that runs inside the flag and connects to our patented M-Winch system. Making raising and lowering your flag a breeze.

Both our external and internal halyard poles come with a ground sleeve for installation, a gold ball ornament and four different finishing options. Residential flagpoles receive a PVC ground sleeve instead of metal.

How do I know what size flag I need for my flagpole?

If you are flying one flag, the length of the flag should be at least one quarter height of the pole. Suggested flag sizes are listed below:

20' Flagpole - 3' x 5'
25' Flagpole - 4' x 6'
30' Flagpole - 5' x 8'
35' Flagpole - 6' x 10'
40' Flagpole - 8' x 12'
50' Flagpole - 10' x 15'
60' Flagpole - 12' x 18'
70' Flagpole - 15' x 25'
80' Flagpole - 20' x 30'

How can I prolong the life of my flag?

Do not hang a flag where the wind will whip it against rough surfaces, such as tree branches, wires or cables or the outside of your home or building. Inspect your flags regularly for signs of wear. Repair any minor rips or tears right away, this can be mended easily with a sewing machine or sewing kit. Keep the surface of the pole free of dirt, rust or corrosion that could damage or stain your flag.

Can I wash or launder my flag?

We recommend that you hand-wash your flag with mild soap, rinse thoroughly and air dry. You can also use a dry-cleaning service, some of which will clean your flag at no cost.

Is it okay to fly my flag during heavy winds or inclement weather?

Exposing your flag to rain, wind, snow or high winds will shorten the life of your flag considerably. If you leave your flag exposed to the elements, it will greatly reduce the life of your flag.

How long should a flag last, and is there a warranty?

This is the most common question asked in the industry and the most difficult to answer. No two flags will wear the same due to weather conditions and how often the flag is flown. We typically state the flags will last 3-6 months, but with proper care can last over a year. Our flags offer the best stitching and highest quality materials to get your flag off to a great start.

We do not have a warranty on flags, but we do on cone-tapered aluminum flagpoles.

Can I fly other flags on the same pole as a U.S. Flag?

Yes, as long as your pole is large enough to support the weight of the flags. The U.S. Flag must always fly at the top. The flag underneath should be at least one foot lower and be one size smaller than the U.S. Flag. Flags of other countries are not to be flown beneath the U.S. Flag.

How do I properly dispose of a flag?

If your flag is significantly faded, torn or tattered it is time to retire your flag. Your flag should be retired privately in a dignified manner. In addition, many local community organizations have flag disposal center that will dispose of your flag for you.

Where can I learn more about the United States Flag Code?

The "Flag Code" includes instruction and rules on such topics as the display and use of the flag by civilians, time and occasions for display, position and mnner of display, and how to show respect for the flag.
